Richards was born in Downers Grove to an engineer father and a coffee shop's owner mother. She was raised with her sister Michelle and her sister Michelle in Downers Grove as well as Mokena. El Camino High School, Downers Grove North High School were her primary schools. It was her first time working as a professional model upon graduation from highschool. In the following years she traveled to many notable cities, such as Paris, Tokyo and New York in order to participate in photo shoots, commercials, etc. Later, she branched out into acting in addition. As a lover of animals, Richards was a member of a number of organizations that help to improve the lives of animals. Richards is also committed to her pets and cats she's taken care of for a long period of. The blonde-haired actor is a supporter of same-sex marriage. She is mother of three daughters.
