Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children - was born at Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and would often perform plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. When she was just six years old, young, she took home an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd like to go into show business. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned to play the eldest of three daughters towheaded on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years old, and the actor 19, at that at the time. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
